The Wolfe Biography

With the success of their debut self-titled EP, The Wolfe released their follow up record, Strange Words, this April 12th, 2018. This all-female trio from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, having already gained national recognition last year as one of the Top 4 Finalists in CBC Searchlight, has solidified their place in the music scene with both singles off of Strange Words gaining radio play, charting, and reaching new international fans in both the United States and the UK.
Strange Words was produced in Saskatoon by Ryan Andersen of RedDoor Recording, and co-produced by Lucy James, in August of 2017, following The Wolfe’s Western Canadian tour. Mastered by Case Mastering, Strange Words, is a massive step forward for the young trio. With sassy to touching lyrics, mature vocals, intricate bass lines, rock beats, and the familiar delayed guitar hooks, Strange Words reaches both passionate rock fans, and avid pop listeners.
Tip of My Tongue, the first single off of Strange Words, dropped in the new year, andcommenced this new chapter for the ladies. Getting picked up by Saskatoon’s Rock 102station, this song launched The Wolfe’s first regular radio rotation, creating a hype around the local band. In March, Pig & The Hound, was released and reached across the borders, especially in the US and the UK.
With a continuously growing American and European fan-base, The Wolfe plans to tour these countries within the next year. But until then, The Wolfe is set to tour Canada, having already started at the beginning of April 2018. Their stops include multiple cities and festivals between Toronto and Victoria.
