Dead Nouveau

Emerging from the sleepy backwaters of Peterborough, Ontario, Dead Nouveau create music that is anything but tired. Founded in 2013 by Drake, Fallon, and Rocky Cortis, the sibling trio blend indie pop/rock, punk and folk in a way that is original, catchy and relevant in today's musical landscape. Skylight Song acknowledges the anthemic, bouncy pop punk of Fall Out Boy, while Lullaby Over Brooklyn recalls the yearnful, cinematic melancholy of Death Cab For Cutie. One of the group's standout elements are their haunting vocal harmonies. Fallon's tender, mournful howl gracefully compliments Drake's soulful, booming voice in a way reminiscent of the Everly Brothers. Running Coyote showcases this perfectly.
