The Bugbears

The Bugbears, a sleuth of Burmese DJs & electronic musicians, based in Yangon, are considered the next big thing in the dance music scene. Founded in 2015 by Dake (1996) & Leon (1997), the duo have been working their paws off as solo artists since the age of 12, pushing the boundaries and breaking the generic frame of dance music.

The duo first met as teenagers via some mutual friends and decided to make a few collaborations when both of them discovered their mutual passion for electronic music, which drew these two to team up in the studio, helping each other in making original materials. After some time, with their close friendship as a solid base and their interest in music, the two musical talents decided to join forces. The Bugbears grew to be a strong duo with their unique, groovy & energetic crossover sounds, inspired from different kinds of music. Being able to produce various sub genres of house music is one of the reasons the duo is considered well versed, having the potential to become one of the most promising artists in the game.

Their talent was also noticed by many international DJs, who supported their tracks in radio shows & gigs. One of their original tracks, Centaur, even made it to #13 on Spinnin' Talent Pool and a collaboration, named Andaman, between them, Double U & Debris, a DJMag : #3 Upcoming Dutch Future House DJ, got supported by Shaun Frank, DJs From Mars, Juicy M, Mashd N Kutcher and many more.

At the moment, the duo is working in the studio with their fresh magnificent sounds, finalizing their new tracks that are succeeding in advancing the local & international dance music scene.
