About this concert
The concert by Fara will not feature any Christmas Carols or cheesy Christmas Songs, but instead will present the authentic Orkney Christmas experience.
Fara formed in 2016 to bring together four of the most talented young musicians of the Scottish Folk Scene in Jennifer Austin, Kristan Harvey, Jeana Leslie and Catriona Price. All of the band members grew up in Orkney under the musical guidance of Douglas Montgomery of the The Chair and Saltfishforty. The band create a unique sound from their instrumental line-up of three fiddles and keyboards to produce fiery music rooted strongly in their upbringing in Orkney.

Fantastic night, from the ARC fiddlers supporting Fara to the venue and atmosphere, it was an incredible night. As a poet myself, it was incredible to hear them sing songs that have been influenced by poetry. All wonderfully talented artists and lovely personalities, it wont be the last time I will see them live x Now how about using some of my poetry? :-)
