About this concert
Emil Viklický is THE name in jazz. Composer, pianist, co-player of Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, or George Mraz. He has tried almost every genres, from classical music to electronic experiment, from funk to modern jazz. He is deeply inspired by Moravian folk music (as you can hear in the composition Wine Oh Wine), which he combines with jazz with a pure perfection.
When playing, Viklický is crazy. Unexpected changes of the melody, solos out of this world, and technical mastery. One thing is for sure - every Viklický’s concert is an unforgettable experience.
At his birthday concert, he will be accompanied by amazing saxophonist, Julian Nicholas.
