ANNIHILVS POWER ELECTRONIX is an independent underground record label founded by Rockland County native Lee M. Bartow in the Summer of 1997. Specialising in a broad spectrum of obscure forms of music, the label has since expanded to include several artists from around the globe. A great many live events in New York, and beyond, have been organised under the label's aegis, featuring acts from the international underground music community. In August 2017, the label celebrated its twentieth anniversary. In October 2017, ANNIHILVS POWER ELECTRONIX proudly joined forces with the GARNER Arts Center for the AUTUMN ELECTRONIX FESTIVAL. On October 20, 2018, we return for AUTUMN ELECTRONIX II. • Once again representing many varied facets of electronic music, this year’s festival expands into more experimental territories with a seven-act lineup, including two of our favourites from last year’s event. • This year, the festival will include a record fair featuring vendors CLOISTER RECORDINGS (Denver), OPPOSITE RECORDS (Rockland/Bergen), and REDSCROLL RECORDS (Connecticut), who will be selling vinyl and other media. Our live acts will also have merchandise on-hand. • DJs _FLOOR_FUNKTION_ and Pope Joan II from Nyack collective {decompress}, who spun at last year’s fest, return to provide interludes between performances. • Gretchen Heinel will again present the visual arts exhibition WORLDS WITHIN SHADOWS, which currently boasts a collection of works by more than 25 artists in various disciplines. • In addition to running sound for the entire event, engineer Kevin D. Reilly will oversee an audio installation as AREA & PERIMETER (similar to what he presented in collaboration with Lee Bartow and Gretchen Heinel at at GARNER Arts Festival earlier this year). • Performance artist and eccentric burlesque dancer COUNTESS VON TELLA will grace us with an appearance, and we’ll have live video mixing by Rob Cerrato throughout the night. • There is more still to be confirmed! We hope you will join us to help foster a rennaissance for the local music scene here in Rockland. More things are on the horizon. "GARNER Arts Center is an interdisciplinary arts center that advances the creation and presentation of contemporary, experiential art within a repurposed 19th century textile mill complex. By providing access to a wide range of art forms, the organization strives to enrich, educate and connect diverse audiences. GARNER Arts Center is just a short hop from the banks of the Hudson river, roughly 35 miles northwest of Manhattan. We're hoping to make this year's festival a destination for travellers who would like to experience experimental electronic music set against the backdrop of this amazing historic arts district and spend a relaxing weekend in the beautiful Hudson river valley, mere minutes from Bear Mountain State Park, and a myriad of sights in the many river towns along the picturesque Hudson.
