Holy Hannah!™ conjures the Rock & Roll Gods & Goddesses, and captures their Blues, Soul, R&B, Folk/Americana roots to analog tape. A belly-moan of an album debut that'll take you out for a visceral & vignetted ride. A must listen for classic rock fans.

Holy Hannah's self-titled rock & roll debut is a selection of visceral songs born from personal catharsis, exploring the rawness of existential quandary, epiphany, desire and heartbreak. Its as provocative as it is introspective, triumphant as it is vulnerable; a dynamic testament of human nature.
In Jan 2018, Minneapolis-native Hannah von der Hoff recorded 14 original songs live to tape with her trio at Brown Bag Studios in South Minneapolis. After test driving the studio with her first single, ‘Time Machine’, she knew the space had just the vibe and analog gear she dreamed of to record her debut album.
'I wanted to wait until the songs were ripe for capturing reel to reel; it was very important that I record this music as authentically as possible, and be thrilled with the performance caught on tape before using a mixed media approach for the efficiency of post-production', she says. ‘Initially I was so distressed over choosing a producer and then I realized, I needed to believe in my. It just took diving into the deep end to find out the songs informed themselves, and the process. Little did I know I’d end up dictating the mix. It was a pivotal exercise in trusting my intuition, and while someday I can see myself collaborating with producers, it felt very appropriate to believe in my own creative prowess for my first album.’
After a year and half of piece-mailing the subsequent stages of auxiliary tracking and mixing, made possible by crowdfunding and server wages, she's proudly curated 9 songs for her debut as 'Holy Hannah!.
