Kobaloi

Kobaloi (KOH-buh-loy) formed in July 2013 amidst the Brainerd Lakes area of Minnesota. Within a few months, the band had composed enough material to perform live and stepped onto their first stage in November. The band endured several personnel changes early on, causing Kobaloi to evolve as they redefined their sound until the current lineup was finalized in April 2014.

Kobaloi spent the next several years building a fanbase online and onstage by releasing music through home recordings and live videos on social media while playing shows throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Eventually, they decided it was time for a more professional recording and at the recommendation of some mutual friends a decision was reached to work with Will Maravelas at 14:59 Studios. This successful collaboration led to the band joining Zerobudget Records in time to release the "Crossing Akheron" EP with the label in March 2015.

Musically Kobaloi is a true melting pot, mixing traditionally heavy guitar work and aggressive vocals with modern grooves. Each member brings their years of experience making music and varied influences together to create something that is truly unique.
