NAAMA GHEBER is a New York-based jazz vocalist inspired by the emotionally direct compositions of the 1930’s and ‘40’s. Possessed with an urbane and elegant voice, Gheber’s sensitive interpretation and crisp phrasing have become recognizable elements of her signature style and timeless appeal. Gheber has performed across Israel and Europe in celebrated festivals and jazz clubs. in NYC Gheber has performed at acclaimed jazz venues such as Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow Jazz Club, Cornelia Street Cafe, The Cell Theater and many more. The Nama Gheber Quartet be on tour in Europe this fall and will play the music of the 30's and 40's inspired by the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and Sinatra. Popular hits of that era will be played alongside beautiful, rare tunes based on favorite recordings.

Great night, great performer, the only downside was how cramped the room felt with their layout but that’s not a slight on Naama who performed like none other after a day of travel. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Inspired by the emotionally direct compositions of Rodgers and Hart, Fields and Hugh, Cole Porter and other great composers and lyricists of the 1930’s and ‘40’s Naama Gheber has established herself as a prominent voice in the New York City jazz scene. Possessed with an urbane and elegant sound Gheber’s sensitive interpretation and crisp phrasing have become recognizable elements of her signature style and timeless appeal. An honest and poignant performer, Gheber has appeared in celebrated festivals and acclaimed jazz venues domestically and internationally .
Naama’s debut album- Dearly Beloved ( 2020 Cellar Music Group ) - was praised by critics and labeled as "...a promising debut... which augurs well for future releases."- Cree McCree, Downbeat Magazine.
Naama's 2nd album- If I Knew Then, released in November 2022 featuring Ben Paterson, Neal Miner & Evan Sherman was described as as "... simple, inventive, and stunning..." -C.Michael Bailey , All About Jazz.
The 3rd LP - Where Flamingos Fly feat. Vibraphonist Steve Nelson will be released in 2023.
