Leaky J Biography

Leaky J (born Molik Major) on December 30, 1997 in New Orleans, La is an American Musician. Since his childhood days, he’s dreamed of being a worldwide performer regardless of where he’s from. He’s lived most of his life in a small city called “Violet” in Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana where making it big is impossible. For years, all he’s wanted to do was perform on stage as a dancer, musician or both. At the age of 17, Leaky J finally started living his dream. In 2014, he started backgrounding as a dancer for New Orleans Bounce Pioneer “Katey Red”. He performed on stages from New Orleans to Austin, Texas, in clubs such as “Siberia” “The North Door”, Festivals such as “Buku Fest” and appeared in Verbicide Magazine. After about 2 years as Katey’s dancer, he realized that he wanted to quit dancing and start making music. He recorded his first ever single called “Drop It” in November of 2016 which has made it’s way around the U.S. and now other countries such as “Israel and Italy”. Now as a Rising Music Star, he’s set to release his Freshman EP titled “The Leakprint” in November of 2018 while also releasing singles. The Primary Genre of his music is a New Orleans type of hip-hop called “Bounce Music”. Bounce Music is an energetic style of NOLA hip-hop which was believed to be originated in the late 1980s. He has that sound of music that anyone can relate to and enjoy ; no matter the race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. What sets him apart from other bounce artists is he doesn’t make music that only New Orleans people can relate to, he makes music that the world can relate to. Now towards the end of 2017, with a fire new stage set that will entertain any crowd, Leaky J continues to book gigs around New Orleans, and is doing everything in his power to keep expanding his brand, & his fans intrigued so he can become the performer he’s always dreamed of..
