Emma Lee (US)

Emma was born deep in the heart of Texas, and to this day she still considers herself a true Texan. There she first learned to sing by imitating an up-and-coming Leann Rimes in her first grade talent show. After moving to Maryland as a young girl, she got involved with the John's Hopkins Peabody School of Music's children's preparatory choir, and from there went on to perform at age 13 in "Carmen" with the Baltimore Opera Company. Her musical interests continued to develop as she began rigorously auditioning and performing in local musicals. All the while, she continued her classical training, studying everything from show tunes to intricate Italian Arias. At 16, Emma found herself in a new high school when her family moved this time to Greensboro, North Carolina. Here she played lead in her school musical and fronted an alternative pop-rock band with her boyfriend and classmates, touring around North Carolina until all went to separate colleges and had to part ways. Four years at UNC Chapel Hill earned her some great experiences, a broadcast journalism degree and a realization that after entering the real world, she would be happiest when finally pursuing her dream of singing. Now she is happy to once more call Greensboro home, and is loving making a name for herself in the warm and welcoming town!!
