The Jack Earle Trio

After a short stint at the Sydney Opera House with Evita (starring Tina Arena) Jack Earle returns to the Paris Cat with his two besties Kieran Rafferty and Patrick Schmidli to play some original music. Guest vocalist is the incredibly talented Amelia Evans. Award-winning Australian vocalist, Amelia Evans is a Melbourne based musician currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University. As the recipient of the Margaret Schofield Music Performance Scholarship (VCAA) and the Monash-Pratt Music Performance Jazz Scholarship, 2016 marked the beginning of her success as a young jazz vocalist. Amelia has performed with various bands and ensembles at venues across Melbourne such as the Paris Cat Jazz Club, Bennetts Lane Jazz Club, the Jazzlab, and at various high-profile events such the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival and the Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival. Amelia has also appeared on stage with local and international jazz musicians such as Terri-Lyne Carrington, James Morrison, Ari Hoenig, Bob Sedergreen, Tim Ries, Nitai Hershkovitz, Sam Anning, Danny Fischer, Phil Stack, Gordon Rytmeister, Marian Petrescu, the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra, Steve Sedergreen and James Muller. In 2017, Amelia was awarded the coveted James Morrison Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship, performing as one of the six best young jazz vocalists in Australia. Chosen by James Morrison and an expert panel of some of the world’s finest musicians, Amelia worked with the likes of Jazzmeia Horn, Gordon Goodwin, Wycliffe Gordon, Ross Irwin and Kate Ceberano.
