The ILLusionist

Cortana is a progressive hardcore band from Plymouth Meeting, PA. With influences picked from Periphery, Attila, Struc/tures, August Burns Red, Reflections, and Animals as Leaders. The band originally started as a biker gang at the Plymouth Meeting Mall that consist of, Michael Santucci as the front man, Nick Malfara and Robbie Ellinger on guitar and Corey Ostroski on drums. Cortana has been a band since April of 2014. Originally started out under the name of Hope For Heyden as a poppunk band only consisting with one original member, Nick. The rest of the band left minus the original bassist, Joey. So Nick took matters in his own hands and started from the ground up and called up the best people he’d known fit what he was hearing in his head. Unfortunately, Joey could not keep up with the new songs and the genre. With certain “copyright issues” Joey had taken the name Hope For Heyden back leaving the band nameless. While throwing the names around Mike just said, “How about Cortana?” Everyone liked the suggestion and it stuck. Recently we’ve released an album, played lots of shows, and went on a small tour. Then Nick left. CORTANA is a Metalcore band from Pennsylvania.
