About 3 Miles From Providence 3MFP
3 Miles From Providence is a central Arkansas area rock band originally formed in 2007 by singer Lucas Smith and guitarist James Roberson. With the addition of drummer Ryan Davidson and bassist Clay Hoffman, 3MFP began their catalog of music. After performing at many central Arkansas venues such as the famous Juanita's Cantina and the Revolution Music Room in Little Rock, the band added Josh Dixon on the rhythm guitar. In the summer of 2009, 3MFP booked a rigorous schedule, playing shows every week while still writing new material and working full time jobs. 2009 included shows all over Arkansas and surrounding states. The band traveled to Dallas, Texas to record their first professional single titled "Brutally Honest" in June of 2009. After receiving moderate air time on the Little Rock based radio station 100.3 THE EDGE, 3MFP traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to expand their EP with the help of producer Robert Venable (Disciple, Pillar, Megadeth). After lineup changes in 2010, the band returned to Off The Wall Studio in Nashville to finish up their debut EP. The finishing tracks included a cameo appearance by Disciple lead guitarist Brad Noah on the song "Thanks 2 You." In July of 2011, after many personal hardships and members resigning, the band officially disbanded. After a few years off and each member working on individual projects, the band is back in full force including all of the original members of 3MFP along with lead guitarist Greg Iler. Currently, the band is recording their new EP titled "To The Ones" at Wolfman Recording Studio in Little Rock, Arkansas which is set to release in Summer 2018.
