Steven Tyler Biography

GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter, philanthropist, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, and iconic music legend, Steven Tyler and Nashville’s Loving Mary Band announce summer tour in U.S., Canada and Europe. The tour comprised of headline shows, festival gigs, and benefit concerts will feature dates around the world. In addition, country music duo The Sisterhood Band comprised of Ruby Stewart (the daughter of Rod Stewart) and Alyssa Bonagura (daughter of Kathie Ballie and Michael Bonagura of Baillie & the Boys) will be joining Tyler on select tour dates.

For this trek, Aerosmith’s “Demon of Screamin” has gone way ‘out on a limb’ by keeping it country. Tyler’s set list will span his most recognizable hits as well as chart-topping songs off his critically acclaimed solo debut LP, We’re All Somebody From Somewhere. Kicking off in June, the tour makes stops in major markets such as New York City, Calgary, Madrid, London and more.

Balancing tour dates with charitable appearances, Tyler will perform at a public benefit for the Akron Children’s Hospital, the Northeast Exchange Club benefiting child abuse prevention as well as the City Parks Foundation Gala at SummerStage in Central Park—which benefits New York’s largest presenter of free arts and cultural programs, City Parks Foundation, and its SummerStage Festival.

Upon release, We’re All Somebody From Somewhere bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart and entered the Billboard Top 200 in the Top 20. Its lead single “Love Is Your Name” ruled country radio in addition to soaring into the Hot 100. The crossover success remains emblematic of his ubiquitous influence and presence across all genres.

Cited by Rolling Stone as "one of the greatest singers of all time," Tyler and Aerosmith have sold more than 150 million records worldwide. He has won four Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and an Emmy Award. In addition to having nine #1 hits, 25 GOLD, 18 PLATINUM and 12 MULTI-PLATINUM album certifications, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. In 2013, Tyler was awarded with the Founder's Award at the ASCAP Pop Awards and was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. In November 2015, Tyler founded his philanthropic initiative Janie's Fund (www.janiesfund.org), in partnership with Youth Villages to bring hope and healing to girls who have suffered the trauma and abuse as portrayed in Aerosmith's 1994 video “Janie's Got A Gun” directed by David Fincher. In December of 2018, Tyler was awarded with the Nashville Symphony Harmony Award, which recognizes an individual who best exemplifies the harmonious spirit of Nashville’s musical community.
