Kolours Everlasting Biography
Responsible for steering reggae and dancehall music in his sincere direction, Rencie Kolours of Kolours Everlasting captivates and leaves his sound deep in the soul of many. In early 2000 Rencie Kolours moved to Brooklyn from Jamaica eager to spread the underground sounds and energy he knew too well from the Caribbean Clubs. Within the studio his production and DJ skills grabbed the attention of DJs and promoters worldwide giving shape to his abundant influence on the Dancehall Reggae music scene from kingston to New York reggae hubs. Forward thinking with scintillating progression in his musical work he enthralls crowds in the dancehall with his beaming energy from behind a turntable. 2015 sees a phenomenal leap for Dancehall Reggae music’s true advocate with his latest release of Top Secret Riddim out on his label upon the kick off of the fall season.
From his first seasonal touchdown in Brooklyn, Rencie Kolours claimed residencies at Major clubs and playing epic guest spots at parties and VIP events. Back in Jamaica, from the Ivy and infamous underground house parties. He glazes amongst the endless army of DJs and is now one of New York Favorite. No stranger to bills with the likes of Ringo Assasin, David Rodigon, Rory, Waggy T, Rencie Kolours is honorable behind the console. Festival highlights include Raggamuffin Festival, Sacramento One Love, Reggae Sumfest, Best Of The Best. Not only performing
upon the stage and mega venues like Amazora he thrives in the dark and intimate rooms like Club Temtation with his sounds. Delivering dancehall Reggae music in its finest form this dance floor King has too played at prestigious events for Armani Exchange and Pulse just to name a few
Spending his younger years rummaging through records at his favorite kingston record shops, his inspiration was brewed early. 60s and 70's Ska, Roots, Dub, and Rock steady influenced his teens, and soon this evoked Rencie spinning records at house parties in Jamaica, surrounding himself with the pioneers of DancEhall Reggae music, from Steelie and Cleevie to King Tubby. Despite the enviable schedule of gigs between Brooklyn and the
world, Rencie Kolours grips the balance between the DJ booth and the studio
ensuring his devoted resonation with the core rumble of Dancehall Reggae music in New York and beyond stands true.
