Perry Melius and Wayne Nunes have produced a fabulous body of work in a more than twenty year partnership as one the most sought after rhythm sections, production teams, co-producers and remix talents and are proud to present a series of DRUM AN BASS LINE AT THE EMPIRE BAR - HACKNEY! Continuing their collaboration with world artists this evening features Yuki Lee from Japan and Ecem Uzgor from Turkey and Satin Singh. Over the past decade Wayne Nunes and Perry Melius have placed themselves at the heart of the London music scene, working with artists as diverse as Tricky, Aswad, African Headcharge, Yusuf Islam, Mos Def, Roots Manuva, Brinsley Forde, Jeb Loy Nichols, Adrian Sherwood and Billy Ocean. They’re the best in the world at what they do. Tricky has described them as “the Sly and Robbie of Urban music”. Warrior Charge have created their own sound, something that speaks of the here and now.

Great night at Luna Lounge after a last minute venue change due to the Empire Bar in Hackney having its live music licence revoked. Great venue and a great way to finish the year for Warrior Charge who now will focus their energies into producing new music for digital distribution.

Perry Melius and Wayne Nunes (Lickle Kings) have produced a fabulous body of work in a more than ten year partnership as one the most sought after rhythm sections, production teams, co-producers and remix talents.
Their work with the likes of Tricky, Aswad, African Headcharge,Adrian Sherwood, Billy Ocean,The Harder They Come stage theatre play, and numerous collaborations led Tricky to say of this multifaceted Duo: “Perry and Wayne are the most talented producers in Britain. One plays Bass and one plays Drums, they are the Sly and Robbie of England. They’re the future of Reggae and Urban Music.” and about their work as Starving Souls on tracks such as ‘Days like this` … “This makes me want to cry. I haven’t heard Soul as sad as this since listening to Marvin Gaye and Motown.”
Now with Warrior Charge, they reveal the best of their personal musical experience, expertise, scope and inventive creativity. They entwine the diverse energies of Experimental dub,Reggae, Dance Hall, Hip Hop, with a jazzy zest.
No Foundation No House was their first studio Album released in Japan 2007 and a soft release in the rest of the world 2008.
The new studio album is expected in 2014 and features Bea Brown /Cookie from Shape shifters/Talvin Singh/David Mcalmont/Kamaaljeet Ajimal/Jeb Loy Nichols.Mixes from Tristin Norwell and Duncan Mills.
