Close out an epic Live at the Archway season with an epic party: Chiquita Brujita presents a night of Brooklyn Brujeria! Through rhythm and dance, the evening will highlight the music, magic, and resiliency of Puerto Rico as we mark one year since Hurricane Maria. ///////////THE BASICS ON STAGE AND IN THE GALLERY: Chiquita Brujita This Live at the Archway show is in response to the anniversary of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and includes DJs sets from Christian Martir + DJ Bembona, drumming by Legacy Women, a meditative Howl by Liana Naima, and a “magic market” curated by Brooklyn Brujeria. The coordinating In the Gallery exhibit is the culminating Altar a Los Canarios, a participatory installation series honoring the beauty and power of Puerto Ricans, and the need for joy as resistance.
