Phil Strahan Biography

Phil is a professional musician who regularly performs in the South West of Western Australia. Whether it be a beer-garden on a Sunday afternoon, Wedding or Corporate Event, Phil’s diverse range of acoustic favorites from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s plus his extensive fingerstyle solo guitar repertoire, brings diversity and interest to his audiences.

His passion for the guitar, song writing, and engaging performances are a testament to his love for music. His gentle warm personality helps to put an audience at ease and aids to provide an enjoyable vibe to any occasion.

Some of his most recent opportunities have been a residency at the Pullman Bunker Bay Resort in Yallingup WA, the Abbey Beach Resort, Busselton WA, Accor’s Basildene Manor, Margaret River WA, Ramada Resort by Wyndham, Dunsborough WA, and is often found at The Deck Bar and Bistro, Port Geographe WA on a Sunday afternoon.

Phil’s musical roots are firmly placed in a mixture of mainstream rock, classical, country and
gospel. His gravitation to fingerstyle guitar, in the like of Tommy Emmanuel, Joe Robinson and Richard Smith, is the reason behind his approaching the acoustic tunes of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. This is where we were introduced to songwriters and guitarists such as James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Dan Fogelberg, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills and Nash, CCR and the list goes on.
