About this concert
Nuphar Fey’s music is a naturally communicative, multi-layered experience, moving between lyricism, charged groove and spiritual depth, telling stories without words. Free spirited, abundant and daring, Fey creates a magical land to experiment in connecting influences from cinematic, jazz, contemporary, impressionistic and alternative classical, playing with the borders of tightly composed and masterfully improvised music. Fey’s expressionism is deliciously complimented by the intense energy of hyper-dynamic drummer Yogev Gabay and melodic thoughtfulness of bassist Daniel Ashkenazy. This show at Cornelia Street is their first in the US after performing in Europe and the Middle East.
