Erik-J Music

The KC Monthly Songwriter Round – Presented by Russian Winter Records at the Uptown Arts Bar, is a Nashville style songwriter round where each writer sings a song and then the next sings a song and so on. The monthly two hour show will be anchored by Russian Winter Records recording artist Erik-J and Ric Gordon, along with a special guest songwriter each month and will cover a wide array of genres from the best songwriters in the region. Joining Erik-J and Ric Gordon for the show on August 16th will be singer/songwriter Jim Thomas. Jim is from the hills of Arkansas who grew up a part of a musical family. His father was a published songwriter and his earliest memories are of getting together with aunts, uncles, and cousins playing and singing country and gospel songs until the wee hours! Over the years he has played in several bands and performed all over the South and Midwest as a solo act. Currently residing in the Kansas City area, he performs both as a solo act, as a member of the band “Them Guys”, and also as a member of the “Reunion Band” based in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. Jim is also one of the Kansas City Regional Coordinators for the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
