Tomás Pagán Motta Biography
You hear his music on Sirius XM, KCRW, NPR and university radio. The single off his 2017 album "Living A Lie" premiered on an episode of Netflix's "FLAKED." The single "Up and Away," from his self-titled 2015 album was included in NPR Music's Favorite Songs of 2015. Prior to these records, he recorded four albums in Baltimore as The Petticoat Tearoom, quietly and steadily gaining regional to national exposure and growing to tour internationally. Now based in New York, he continues to make music on his own terms, putting his own money and blood into it, striving to sustainably create.
His new album, "Soul Loss Symphony," a collection of 10 unique songs replete with vibraphones, string sections and pedal steel guitars, is set to be released later this year/early next year, followed by an extensive tour in support. Motta is performing special pop-up pre-release shows in certain cities to introduce the new material. The audience will get to hear the songs before anyone else, even before they are played on radio.
