Snake River Red

Sometimes gathering your friends every Sunday for a jam session isn’t enough. There is a burning desire, deep down inside, pushing you to take the next step and bring the songs to people other than themselves. That’s how Snake River Red was born.
The band consists of Lawson Harris, lead vocals, Ben Gonzales, lead guitar, Garrett Durrenburger, drums, and Paul Perez, bass. Paul is also the primary songwriter of the band, credited with writing or co-writing all of the album’s six songs.
Paul played for Bubba Westly Band for a couple years and got out of music in 2013. In 2016, he entered a song writing contest and it lit a desire to get back into music. He contacted his friend Garrett, who he has been playing music with since they were kids. He then added Ben, who he had played a few shows with years before.
The small town of Giddings, Texas, is home to Snake River Red. The members still have their day jobs, but on the weekends they can be found playing shows around the state. Their music is natural and polished for a group that has been together for such a short time. Their music has been described as a mixture of Texas country, alternative country and rock. The band’s influences range from Keith Whitley to Gin Blossoms to Randy Rogers Band and Steve Miller.
Ask any of the guys and they will tell you, what makes this band click is their dedication and there are no egos. It is all about the music.
