Sydney Matlock Music

Sydney Matlock has burst onto the music scene on both sides of the border making her mark performing and songwriting. Born in Windsor, Ontario this beautiful young artist lights up a room with her bubbly personality and dimpled smile.

Sydney recently released her debut single and video 'Follow You' which was chosen as a regional finalist in CBC Searchlight – “Canada’s Next Rising Star”. She was also featured in a Canada Day Video sponsored by the Windsor Star and Remark Realty, which went Canada wide.

Sydney was also a finalist in the 'South Canada Songwriting Competition' at the Kingsville Folk Festival as the youngest artist/songwriter in the competition. She was honored, as a finalist to be featured with Buffy Sainte Marie headlining the Festival.

As a talented songwriter, she has been showcased by the International Children's Games held in Windsor, Ontario. Her writing capabilities not only caught the attention of the University of Southern California and Humber College's Jazz Program, it earned her a well-deserved acceptance into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Obtaining top marks in her classes, she earned a spot on the coveted
'Dean's List' and her talent for writing has showcased her in Berklee's
Singer-Songwriter Showcase' and many others at the Berklee
Performance Center.

Sydney will be completing her EPK this summer as well as a music
internship in Nashville. Her drive and passion for music will help
her realize her goal of becoming a successful songwriter in
Nashville’s competitive music industry.
