Hendriks is the sound of warm electric melodies drifting upon luscious spacious beats and dreamy vocals.
Ash Hendriks defines the passion, desire & determination it takes to be an artist. Her evolution has been a beautifully complex journey, leading her across mountains & oceans in search of her lifeblood, inspiration.
Most notably, a year long stint in Amsterdam on the back of an awarded studio residency in 2015 allowed Hendriks to explore her sound further & develop the personal style steadily unfurling inside her.
Upon returning home, with an albums’ worth of songs crammed in her suitcase, Leure was born. With an ever increasing passion for electronic music & production, this part of her evolution felt as natural as breathing & saw Hendriks blend into this relatively unknown world effortlessly.
Choosing now to perform under her birth name reflects how far she’s come as an artist & expresses a willingness to expose her soul in the name of art. Having supported a myriad of incredible artists including Tame Impala, Cashmere Cat & Methyl Ethel plus garnering the praise of Triple J, FBI & RTRFM, Hendriks’ star continues to rise & will undoubtedly blaze white-hot for many, many moons.
