LIMESTONE CITY BLUES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2018 HEADLINERS! The Limestone City Blues Festival will once again bring downtown Kingston alive with the sounds of the blues August 23, 24, 25 & 26, 2018. Celebrating its 22nd anniversary, the festival is delighted to announce that dynamic performers Victor Wainwright & the Train will be headlining the Springer Market Square Stage on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Wainwright has twice won the Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year award at the Blues Music Award so the festival is in for a treat! Opening the evening of great music will be up-and comers Earle and Coffin from St. John’s Newfoundland as well as the incredibly popular Soulstack from Toronto. Friday night will see the energetic and roots rich Ghost Town Blues Band from Memphis, Tennessee. Opening for them is Maple Blues Award – winning Wicked Grin from Ottawa. The festival kicks off on Thursday, August 24 th in Confederation Park with 3 times Maple Blues Award winner Harpdog Brown from Vancouver. Once again, Limestone City Blues Festival promises to be a ‘not to be missed’ presentation of blues greatness! Get your $15 admission bracelet from participating venues for over 100 hours of blues music over all four days of the festival - the clubs, park, and the concerts on Princess Street and in Springer Market Square – and, with your bracelet, your free blues bucks to redeem at many downtown merchants!
