Tera Townsend

Tera Townsend, is a singer, songwriter, and musician. She started singing at the age of three in beauty pageants. Singing is what she wanted to do. Her first song to sing was "Barney and Friends" and became public about her desire to sing in Kindergarten. She knew that she was always a little afferent from the other students. She was mocked and teased when she was a kid due to the fact she was adopted and had a speaking dissability. She heard many times in her life that she was not wanted and was never going to amount to anything. She was bullied from Kindergarten till her Junior year in high school. She transferred to Waverly Central for her senior year of high school after her only friend committed suicide. Loosing her only friend lead to severe depression and music was her only outlet. Being bullied in high school was her reason to pursue a music career and was also the inspiration for songwriting. She soon further pursued her education at Bethel University and transferred to SAE Institute of Technology in Nashville to learn to produce music, and manage herself. She is now 21 years old and trying to pursue her dream of being a country music star.Through music she has gained confidence and the will to fight for her chance of stardom in the Country Music industry.  She is now residing in Nashville, TN and a Nashville recording artist.She and is currently working on her first iTunes EP and hoping to release it Summer of 2019.          She has shared the stage with numerous artists such as Carl Mann, Linda Davis, Steel Magnolias, Thompson Square, Coco Jones, Mary Sarah from the Voice, Lady Antebellum and many more! She has also won awards for her music including the TCGMA and GCGMA vocalist and entertainer of the year award, and the NACMAI entertainer of the year award. She has competed for the title of Miss Tennessee two times. Tera has also worked with some of Nashvilles' top writers and recording studios. She is a member of ASCAP and is a great songwriter.
