Wet Nose Dogs Biography

After a ten-plus-year music career in Nashville, TN, Philip Calder moved back home to South Carolina thinking he would never sing again. Philip longed to take the stage again but life’s circumstances prevented his return at every turn. In 2016, Philip met a new friend that refused to let his gift lie dormant. Philip began to sing with him while he played the guitar and they began to cover songs. In 2017, they sparked attention by releasing videos online. Attention began to mount as these videos gained views and likes, and in August of 2017, Philip set out on a musical journey that would eventually lead to the creation of Wet Nose Dogs.

Today, Wet Nose Dogs are considered one of the best touring bands out there, playing numerous shows every week across the Carolinas. The band's momentum continues to grow as they take the road by storm. Currently featuring Philip Ryan on lead vocals, Max Jenks-Gilbert on rhythm guitar, Tyler Potts on drums, Scott Roberts on bass, and Raj Jenkins on keys, their unique take on the genres of Country, Rock, R&B, Southern Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop has broken outside of the traditional box and embodied perfectly the genre of Eclectic Soul… Southern-style, of course.

Wet Nose Dogs are currently sponsored by Beaver's Den at Beaver Creek Bar & Grille, 39th Ave. Bar & Grille, Promises Recovery, and The Riverdeck. The band offers duo, trio, quartet, and full band performances. For sponsorship or booking inquiries, call (843) 687-6733 or email wetnosedogs@gmail.com.
