Teen Town

Teen Town, named after the prominent jazz fusion tune of the 1970s, is an award-winning powerhouse jazz fusion trio led by the multiple award-winning 19-year-old bassist Gabriel Severn, with Logan Bedard on drums and Connor Rohrer on keys.

Winners of a DownBeat award and the 2020 "Best Jazz Band" award from the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, these phenoms are taking audiences by storm with their energy, their undeniable chemistry, and their exceptional talent. They bring their own creative voice to the jazz fusion genre, performing original compositions as well as unique covers weaving jazz, funk, rock, and world rhythms into tunes by luminaries such as the Average White Band, Weather Report, the Yellowjackets, and Chick Corea. Teen Town's youth is deceptive - close your eyes and you'd think this trio has been playing together for decades.

Teen Town hit the ground running since their 2017 debut. They've taken the stage at the Boscov's Berks Jazz Festival, the Elkhart Jazz Festival, the Dauphin County Wine & Jazz Festival, the Scranton Jazz Festival, the Christmas City Summer Jazz Festival, TEDx Harrisburg, the Harrisburg ArtsFest, the Dauphin County Cultural Fest, Mt. Gretna Heritage Festival, the Central PA Jazz Fest, the People's Choice Festival, the 2018 Millennium Music Conference, the River City Blues Club, the Central PA Jazz Camp, and the Lock Haven Jazz and Arts festival.

They've opened for Sheila E., the Wooten Brothers, Victor Wooten Trio, the Tierney Sutton Band, the Ben Wolfe Trio, the Dwayne Dolphin 4tet, and the Original Drifters. TV and radio features include ABC TV's Good Day PA, Pennsylvania Pipeline TV, 89.7 FM WVIA's Homegrown Music, and WVIA's live studio Homegrown Concert. The band has held music education clinics at the Berks Jazz Fest's Get JazzED Day and at the Moravian College Summer Jazz Camp. The trio released their debut album, A Month of Sundays, in 2022 and released 21: Teen Town Live at Metropolis in 2023.
