Maria Gabriella Band

Atlanta-based Maria Gabriella Band is a folk-rock Indie group headlined by singer/songwriter Maria Gabriella. Born into a Nicaraguan culture rich in musical heritage, Maria was influenced early on by the talented musicians in her own family. At six years old, she first began experimenting with guitar and was soon performing at various school and church-related events. Early in her college years, the artist was inspired to write her first song titled Ain’t No Betta, a realization of her love for music. This marked the first step in a fifteen year singing career that led Maria to Atlanta, Georgia and has now culminated in the formation of Maria Gabriella Band (MGB) and the release of their first album, High Above the Sun.
MGB is an eclectic five-piece ensemble consisting of keyboardist Emily Chambers, lead guitarist Amy Smith, bassist Derek Gillespie, and drummer Jeff Barrow, along with Maria’s acoustic rhythm guitar. On stage, MGB exudes a bursting array of talent, personality and energy that captivates any audience. The band slips seamlessly into various musical styles, screaming diversity, yet never losing its identity. Backed by rocking leads, head-bopping beats, and rich vocal harmonies, Maria’s unique and powerful voice soars.
