Lopenstraat

Lopenstraat is an Istanbul-based instrumental sextet. Once they managed to get their studio and home improv sessions to resemble songs, they released their first single "Hike" in the summer of 2015. "Hike" was included as the final track of the compilation album "The New Generation Of Turkish Psychedelic Volume I" by Ironhand Records. After releasing their first EP "Şile" from Personal Space Records in October 2016, their live performances started to rely heavily on experimental elements, which prompted the release of their live-recorded second EP "Rönesans" in May 2017. Covering a spectrum between Anatolian psychedelia and free improvisation in their more recent live performances, Lopenstraat tries to blend elements of progressive, experimental and Anatolian rock genres into their musical output.

Lopenstraat İstanbul çıkışlı altı kişilik bir enstrümantal müzik topluluğu. Stüdyo ve ev doğaçlamalarını şarkı formuna yaklaştırma çabaları sonucunda, ilk singleları "Hike"ı 2015 yazında yayımladılar. "Hike" 2016 yılında Ironhand Records'un "The New Generation Of Turkish Psychedelic Volume I" adlı toplama albümünde yer aldı. İlk kısaçalarları "Şile" Ekim 2016'da Personal Space Records'dan çıktıktan sonra canlı performanslarında deneysel öğelere daha çok yer vermeye başlayan grup, konser kayıtlarından oluşan ikinci kısaçalarları “Rönesans”ı Mayıs 2017'de yayımladı. Son dönem canlı performansları Anadolu psikedelisiyle özgür doğaçlama skalasında gidip gelen Lopenstraat, müziğinde bu öğeleri progresif, deneysel ve anadolu rock yaklaşımlarıyla harmanlamakta.
