Noach Tangeras Band

The award winning, Noach Tangeras Band, is an Americana roots band with the influence of folk, country, rock, and blues. This new band originated in the Central Coast of California in 2015 and is currently recording their first album. They stormed the coast, winning first place in the Country/Americana category and second place in best songwriting at the 2016 New Times Music Awards with their single release hit song “Big Sur”. The Band received 2nd place in blues/R&B category of the New Times Music Awards in 2015 for “Walking Out Your Door”. The lead vocalist/songwriter/rhythm guitarist, Noach Tangeras, is accompanied by Rachel Santa Cruz on harmonies/keyboard/light percussion, Adam McAlexander on lead guitar, and Jeremy Lemen on the drums. Influences such as Janis Joplin, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Dolly Parton, and Grace Slick can be heard. Their soulful harmonies are accompanied by iconic guitar solos with an earthy percussion background to make a country/folk/rock/blues fusion sound. Noach Tangeras is originally from Indiana. She started playing the flute at an early age and picked up the acoustic guitar, singing, and songwriting later on in her freshman year of college. She got her degree in Marine Biology from the University of Maine at Machias, but she also studied music throughout her education. She has written over 30 songs and writes the melody and lyrics of the bands material with rhythm guitar. Rachel Santa Cruz is from Los Osos California and has been singing and performing music for many years with her father, Bobby Santa Cruz. She studied music at Cuesta College and has been involved in various music projects. She also works in music therapy. This soulful singer can play ukulele, keyboard, and a various array of percussion instruments while belting outstanding harmonies on the mic. Electric guitarist, Adam McAlexander, will blow your mind with some epic guitar lines. His retro sounding experimental guitar solos are reminiscent of Jimmy Page. He studied sound engineering at Cuesta and has played in many bands throughout his career. He has worked and been involved in many recording projects in multiple studios including Speak Studios and the Sauce Pot in San Luis Obispo. Percussionist/Bass player, Jeremy Lemen, plays the cajon drum as well as bass guitar. He grew up in Sacramento and started playing drums at 14. After moving to San Luis Obispo, he has been involved with many music projects including, The Noach Tangeras Band, Explode the Machine, Zen Mountain Poets, and Divine Alkaline. The Noach Tangeras Band has performed at many venues and festivals around the California Central Coast Including the Fremont Theatre, Slo Brew, The Grange Hall, The Siren in Morro Bay, The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, 805 Country Music Festival at Black Lake Golf Resort in Nipomo, The Earth Day Festival at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo, The Coyote Festival at See Canyon Fruit Ranch. They have taken off in the California Central Coast and will soon be branching out and expanding. Look out for the upcoming album release.
