Ленинград Biography
Ленинград are a ska band from Sankt Peterburg (ex Leningrad), Russia. Famous for intensive use of obscene language in lyrics. The band's frontman is Сергей Шнуров (Sergey Shnurov). In 2005, their music was featured in the motion picture "Everything Is Illuminated" starring Elijah Wood.
The band, and especially their leader, Shnurov, have long been famous for their catchy beats and irrepressibly bad language, somehow managing to be one of the top bands in Russia despite almost never being clean enough to earn radio play and despite their live concerts being banned in Moscow.
