Laura Taglialatela

Laura Taglialatela is a vocalist, composer and arranger born in the mediterranean city of Naples, Italy. Growing up in a house full of music and art of all kinds, she naturally developed a complex musical personality, which drove her interests through experiencing many different languages and genres. In 2009 she completed her studies in vocal performance at the Scuola Civica di Capannori, and decided to attend a Bachelor in Literature and Cultural studies at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University, while taking music private classes with some of nowadays internationally most renowned jazz performers. She graduated in 2014 presenting a thesis entitled "A unifying language: jazz”, a result of her active researches on the impact of the inter-cultural crossover of the jazz scene on the american slang and vice-versa, receiving audience acclaim and extra credits. In 2016 Laura wins the WinJazz Competition with her composition Blue Moon, and performs for the WinJazz Festival at Rijeka Philarmonic (Croatia) and at Casa del Jazz in Rome. In 2017 she is invited in Russia for a one month tour by bass player Askhat Sayfullin. Laura currently performs around the world with her band, and she is going to release her debut album, The Glow, on Ropeadope Records on April 6th, 2018.
