Twice Grammy nominated artist Rene Marie is firmly established as one of the greatest living jazz vocalists. In a span of two decades, 11 recordings and countless stage performances, vocalist René Marie has cemented her reputation as not only a singer but also a composer, arranger, theatrical performer and teacher. Guided and tempered by powerful life lessons and rooted in jazz traditions laid down by Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and other greats of past generations, she incoporates elements of folk, R&B, country and even Classical music to create a captivating hybrid style. Her 2013 CD release I Wanna Be Evil: With Love To Eartha Kitt, earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Jazz Vocals category. René Marie made several appearances on the Billboard charts and won Best International Jazz Vocal CD by France's Academie Du Jazz.
