Jonny Zye Biography
A Singer/Songwriter who mixes Soul, Rock, Pop, and Country - Jonny Zye had musical destiny written in his youngest years.
Growing up singing in Church & School music programs, he first took the stage at age 10 singing “Living in America” by James Brown. As a budding musician, Jonny's dad would fill the house with Country, Blues, and Rock music while his mom played Pop, Soul, and Gospel records.
Later, inspired by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and contemporaries like Gavin DeGraw, John Mayer, John Legend, Brad Paisley, and Jack Johnson - Jonny bought his first guitar at 13, and began writing songs and posting Youtube videos at age 15, amassing a steady following.
2014 saw his first official release with the EP "Get This Off My Chest", while the full length "Onward and Upward" arrived in 2016 to critical acclaim. He rounded out 2017 with the release of the wedding-worthy single "Happiest Man". His latest album "Back to Bliss", debuted at #6 on the iTunes Charts in early 2019.
