Priory Park
It’s not just the scenic walkways and picturesque pond that draws people to Priory Park, it also boasts four bowling greens, tennis and basketball courts, a green gym, formal gardens and the stunning Prittlewell Priory, a 12th century Clunaic Monastery.
The park is also home to Southend’s eyecatching bandstand where local musicians and bands play every weekend throughout the summer.
It’s a great place to pack a picnic and enjoy the sunshine while the kids let off some steam in the extensive playground. Don’t forget to bring your ping pong bats to take advantage of one of the free tennis tables.

Absolutely amazing. Ellie smashed it even considering how the organisers messed up the start of her set! Such a good start to the Lazydays festival!! What a memory, still have her songs playing in my head. And she’s from Yorkshire! So glad I got to see her live after a random recommendation on Spotify has got me hooked.

10/10 day with Sundara headlining at Lazydays. My favourite band for 8 years and a calm, chilled day with family friendly hours. Thanks for taking the time to perform to a smaller audience where people like me can enjoy a day out without feeling as much anxiety or stress. Had a fab day :)
