Drove from baltimore, J.Howell came out on stage at 11:32pm and stayed over his time got off the stage at 12:48am. Song mostly every song and entertained the whole night.
I've been to more than 170 concerts and this was the best one I've seen in forty years. Beaten only by Queen in 1980.
Adrian obviously loves what he does and he's so good at it! He's a joy to watch.
As a fan of the group since I was a kid, it was great to see them perform live. Ladybug Mecca absolutely killed it and her vibe set the tone for the whole room, and Doodle was a great hype man. The live band they had backing them up was a great addition as well, but that's where things kind of went left (in my opinion). The band should have been the only ones playing music; Butterfly had a beat machine that he used during the show and it really didn't add anything useful to the songs...it actually took away from it. It would have been a different story if they performed new music for the crowd, but this was him playing beats and sounds on a beat machine that was totally necessary. The transitions between the band playing and the beat machine were not great or smooth either. There was a point in one of the songs where it switched from band to just beat machine and you saw the crowd lose energy, then when the original song came back, the crowd picked back up again.
Please ditch the beat machine, you don't need it! Last thing that was super disappointing was their flagship track Cool Like Dat wasn't played by the band (who definitely could have, they were very capable). But they did perform the song so that was good.
I have no words to describe this concert and just Kiefer Sutherland as a person. Everything about this event was unforgettable, unbelievable, surreal, and amazing! I thought the concert was well-organized and well-structured, and I thought the venue itself was accommodating and inviting! It was such a pleasure to meet Kiefer Sutherland personally, and it was so wonderful to witness how personable he was! I mean, seriously, you've got a Hollywood actor that's well-known, not to mention a veteran, who didn't even have to take the time to meet someone like me, but he did so anyway out of the kindness of his heart. That's something to appreciate and be grateful for, which makes attending his concert even more worth it! What a phenomenal night; what a phenomenal guy!
Love Alex Cuba, love him even more after seeing him in concert. He is an amazing guitar player, and has a knack for connecting with the audience. Perfect!
Location was trash. No one knew what was going on. Staff kept sending us up and down the stairs. Super unorganized; HOWEVER, Black Alley made alllll of that disappear. It was everything I could’ve imagined 😭😭😭😭
I had a wonderful time we were there for my Sukithia Robinson birthday,we all had a great time. Looking forward to upcoming events, I'm learning towards a comedy show. Please let me know when you're having a comedy show, ThankYou for a great night.
The Bad Plus kills EVERYTIME!!!!!
This is the second time I've caught them at the City Winery. The only thing different was the line-up and the date. They ALWAYS!do it real big. Solid fan for life. Anytime those dudes are in DC, I'm going to be at the show.
Excellent performance by this three guy combo. Their industrial roots from Youngstown OH shine as the music is meaningful, engaging and filled with joyful music making. Must see. They must come back.
Phillip Phillips gave us an amazing show as usual. He is such an amazing artist. His raspy voice captures the attention of every ear and his skilled guitar playing is impeccable. Can’t wait to see him next time around.
Anthony David was full of energy, knew how to connect with his fans and him being funny was a nice bonus on top of his excellent song-writing and guitar playing skills. I love his voice and his band only consisted of a drummer and a keyboardist. Talk about a minimalist still delivering a full-impact show. I would definitely see him again!
Roger clyne and the peacemakers always put on a great show. The tables were really crammed together, but I guess that just means more people get to enjoy the show.
Joan Osborne is ALWAYS a joy to listen to .. add some Dylan lyrics, musical rendition tempo changes, a dynamic accompanying duo, and Ms Lea a local DC artist, and you have a wonderful concert at a great venue. I hope Ms Joan returns to this venue (or the Annapolis area) again every year!
The man was phenomenal so much talent will travel to catch a show saw him Kennedy ctr, city winery and will be at merriweather I'm a 70 yr junky high on all kinds of good music and this young man delivers
The show was excellent, the trio played to the crowd as well as keeping things interesting. I truly enjoyed the sounds put out by this ensemble, they were authentic and played a rather enjoyable set of fusion jazz. Would definitely come see them again.
Procol Harum was spot on and clearly tight as a band. A good selection of tunes from old and new albums. Sound quality was very good. This band is well worth going to see. Seating was a little crowded, but every seat was close enough to watch facial expressions.
Great show at a great venue. Her back up singer/friend was amazing. He had a Great personality and stage presence. Only bad thing is she talked/stalled a little too much. She had so many songs the audience wanted her to sing but the band wasn’t prepared for it. Overall great show. She has an amazing voice.
What a wonderful voice! The band was a little overwhelming from the beginning but softened so that we could hear the vocalist after 30 minutes. Excellent band! Lynne engaged the audience and made all feel at home. The menu is impressive and the food was delicious!
The wait staff seemed under-represented as diners were not presented with checks until the venue was completely over, leaving us to wait an extra 30 minutes to leave.
30 years ago, my wife & I went to see Richard Marx as our first concert/date & 301 years later we've seen him again & met him backstage. What an amazingly talented singer songwriter.....thanks for a great time & 30 years of memories, Richard.
Had an amazing time, she was great, I dragged my brother and his gf along even though they know nothing about soul music or who she is and they’ve been raving to everyone how great it was!👍👏👏💯💯
