I turned 37 on July 12 and this was my first concert.
I love Def Leppard and Journey and the music from 70's and 80's
My parents listened to it that's where I heard it.
My parents bought these tickets for me for Christmas and got an extra one for whomever I wanted to take.
I give it 10 stars
Def Leppard! Always a great show! So many awesome tunes. They play them all and the still sound amazing. The guitar work, vocals, drums, all awesome. They still have it, and I will go see them again in the future. This was my 3rd concert of theirs that i attended.
This concert was spectacular. I am a former music executive as well as a musician and performer. I was quite surprised at the overall production……it was absolutely flawless. The acts performed on time…., the sound mixing was quite impressive for an outdoor arena show, and each act played hit after hit. Steve Miller was and is amazing at 80 frigging years old. His sound was tight and he can still hit the highs….Then Neal Shon and Journey took the stage and while Arnel sounded strong there was no need to miss Steve Perry……Arnel, although a bit prancing about and often screaming at the sky, was able to reinvent the chemistry needed for a well delivered set that seduced the ears with memorable power ballads.
Then came Def Leopard who brought the house down with unbelievable precision. Crisp production and mistake free delivery brought 10’s of thousands to their feet repeatedly…..playing 40 year old hits like they were just born…….
An absolutely fantastic show that proved veteran performers can still deliver….one glorious hit at a time.
Only three bands performed so Journey was able to play a good long set. All the hits were played. Arnel still has the range and Phil has his guitar tuned in well. Concert was in the Phillies stadium and they did a very good job with the sound engineering.
Steve Miller, Journey and Def Leppard were awesome. However security and the people letting in ticket holders was horrible. The lines were moving very slow and they visually saw people cutting and said nothing. I informed them groups of people were cutting in to a long line that the rest of us waited in and they Shrugged
Phenomenal!! She is a true rock star, and the energy she gave off could be felt throughout the entire stadium! It was the perfect mix of high energy songs coupled with some beautiful covers and a few of her slower songs. She also incorporates beautiful dance artistry & acrobatics, and gives significant props to all of her band mates & dancers/backup vocals. P!nk is THE BEST, and we cannot wait for her next tour - we attended both nights in Philly!
A-freaking-mazing!!! (Actually saw her on Monday Sept 18th) Only bummer about it was that it was so difficulty to get into the venue with my wheelchair that we missed about half the set. But she’s absolutely worth every penny to go see! Her latest album is absolute off the charts amazing and should’ve won all the Grammy’s but they forgot to ask me my opinion 😁. I’m sorry BC, maybe next time. Cause you’ve never put out an album yet that isn’t amazing!
Best performance...talent talent loved the show PINK was way beyond my imaginings...the athleticism the energy of Pink and the synergy with band and dancer was exhilarating...the videography was superb...and I am celebrating my 70th birthday starting with Pink what a show
..❤️ pink and Brandi and group love and all those that made this a fantastic experience. Thank you. I'll be back to see all again.
P!NK is the consummate performer. This show was beyond anything I could have imagined. The talent, energy and creativity of all involved brought so much fun to the night that the concert lived up to name summer carnival. This is a must see show. And being this was her hometown, the magic was undeniable.
The band is back!
I skipped last summer’s tour because I was fed up with how slow JM sings his parts. When I heard this was the last tour, I decided I needed to go even though JM was still there.
I don’t know if it was because he didn’t sing as much during this show, or if he’s learned to pick up the pace, but I’m happy to say he didn’t ruin this show for me.
Here’s another though about JM singing so slow. When he is on tour as JM and covers a Dead tune, he should be able to cover it however he likes. He can slow it down to a craw if he wants, but when he’s playing with the Dead, he should play it they way the Dead play it and not do it “his way.”
Amazing first set. Women Smarter into Shakedown Street ? Are you kidding me ?!?! They couldn't have sounded better. I was pretty tired by set 2 and left after Eyes of the World. Shakedown lot was so much fun. Great vibes and an overall beautiful experience. I shed tears multiple times.
It was a fun show, and the Chili Peppers sounded great. I'm not a fan of concerts in baseball stadiums, but it is what it is. Sadly we paid $40 to "upgrade" our seats to side stage, only to find out that it meant an obstructed view since the sides of the stage were closed off. It left us with a view of a quarter of the stage, so we could only see John's side. We ended up sitting in our og seats in the 400 level
High energy, respectable length at 1hr 45 min, but they didn't play 3 of my favorite songs (Scar Tissue Otherside and Under the Bridge). I found out that they have too many hits to play them at all the stops and that I basically just had a bad luck of the draw, which happens. As well as I've been scoring this summer, and for the price I paid, I can't complain and thus only one star deducted :) I pity those who paid far more for their tickets if they had similar issues with the setlist
they’ve been my favorite band since i was little and was blessed to see them live. they have a tremendous stage presence and i can easily say theirs was my favorite concert of all time.
Hello. Honestly, we were a little disappointed in the sound quality. It was hard to understand any of the words. Jake was putting on a great show, so it was nothing on his end. It could have been where we were sitting maybe, but definitely something to consider for the future?
Amazing. How rock is supposed to be. Sound and vocals were great. They brough alot of energy even thiugh the crowd was a little drained from the previous 3 acts and alot of beer.
Def Leppard was solid and always puts on a great show. Wish that they had closed out the night though as they SHOULD have been the feature group of the night!! Poison and Joan Jett were also on par for the earlier opening acts. Motley Crew played loud and had lots of girls dancing around half naked but didn’t bring the house down as the finishing act of the night. Crew still can play the music, just can’t sing much anymore, as Vince just seems a bit tired from singing these songs for so long… overall though a memorable and fun night out in Philly!!! 👍🏼👍🏼🎸🌃
The best group on this awesome Stadium Tour. Most energetic, caring and appreciative of their fans and wanting to give everything they got and leaving it all on the stage. Have loved these guys since 88.
Both Daltrey and Townsend were in top form. Townsend still plays with the anger of a young man and Roger, though is voice is showing its age, could still let loose with the triumphant scream at the climax of “Won’t get fooled again”. They were accompanied by a full orchestra. They opened with a suite of songs from Tommy, segued into a series of hits from other albums, then settled into songs from Quadrophenia. Not just a great show “for their age” but a great show in its own right.
Amazing! Especially when he brought service men and women on stage and sang "Goodnight Saigon". He is such an interactive performer. You felt like you were in a bar with him instead of a stadium with thousands of people. Definitely worth every penny!
