The sound they produce live is even better than recorded. It needs LOUD. Your chest cavity vibrates & it’s captivating. Their interaction with the crowd is perfect too. They’re humble, self-effacing. Ronnie is so charismatic but the rest of the band now add to him perfectly. They’re almost unaware of just how cultish & pioneering they’ve been. I love the displayed loyalty - two way. You feel a part of it. You feel they are your secret. & you love thinking I’m amongst just this crowd who also love them - & I’m almost glad they’re a bit of a secret. Our secret. It’s just emotional immersing yourself in Xymox, their personalities & the sound they make. So many anthems. Such a unique sequenced synth dance bass vibe with raw guitar & clever, meaningful lyrics. Someone asked me to describe them. A bit New Order, a bit Sisters of Mercy/the Mission & a bit The Cure. But you hear some Foxx, Numan, Joy Division, X-Mal Deutschland ... & more. Pure 4AD! They are a unique experience to see live. Gothic marvels. & I love the look of the people who follow them. It’s a long term love affair.

A great afternoon of fabulous music. Third time I have seen American Young and they get better every time I have seen them.

Spectacular is one of many words that describe the current tale of Psychoberrie and her monsters. With more theatrical elements such as Big Momma and even more audience participation, this is an experience that will leave you thirsting for more. But this is a theatrical rock experience. The music is driving, complex and guides the story in a spectacular manner. This is not something to miss.
