Bemz

'DND' was born from real-life moments and natural creativity, proving that sometimes the best art comes from simply being in the moment. The new music leans into uplifting themes, reflecting a personal transformation from darker narratives to a more celebratory and open outlook on life. There is a clear progression from his Scottish Album of the Year Award nominated 2020 debut album 'Saint of Lost Causes' and 2023 EP 'Nova's Dad', which BEMZ notes will always be a special project. "But over those years, I've grown into being a completely different person," he says. "I can see the brightness in life again and I'm just a whole lot more mature and more open minded to life."
From releasing new music to growing his own M4 Festival into one of Scotland's most influential independent music events, the Nigeria-born, Glasgow-based rapper has solidified his place as a dynamic force in the Scottish music scene and beyond. Having previously been awarded DJ Mag's Breakthrough MC/Vocalist Best of British Award and named BBC Introducing's first-ever 'Scottish Act of the Year', industry recognition is always appreciated. He has played a run of standout live shows across the UK and beyond, and this summer saw him take to one of the biggest stages of his career, performing alongside Valtos at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony before returning for a special performance at the Closing Ceremony as part of a star-studded lineup. With a strong foundation of experience, a growing fan base, and a renewed creative vision, BEMZ is set to make an even greater impact in 2026 and beyond.
