Künstlerbiografie
Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the macabre humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write playfully dark songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, folklore, science, and the occult. Charming Disaster’s music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale, they have toured the United States and Europe, and have opened for Rasputina, Voltaire, and The Dresden Dolls. Recent appearances include Dragon Con, Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre in NYC, the Rochester Fringe Festival, and the Coney Island Sideshow stage.

“Charming Disaster are unusual, spooky, wickedly talented, and completely unafraid to delve deep into the underworld in exploration of all things lurking in the dark...they have a knack for making the macabre fun.” –Mixed Alternative
“The kind of soundtrack you'd expect to find on a 1930s cartoon about a Prohibition-era voodoo funeral...just be careful if they offer you a drink." –Goldmine
“A goth-cabaret folk vaudeville duo from Brooklyn in the dark cabaret mould of Tiger Lillies and Dresden Dolls.” –Outside Left

Was die Fans sagen
The 2 person band was amazing I highly recommend them. I also got to meet them and have some conversations with them. They are very personable and just great people to be around. The venue was small but very relaxing and a great vibe. I would definitely attend in the future. I also can’t wait to see Charming Disaster again because they did not disappoint.
