Künstlerbiografie
Melvin Hein doesn't make music that knocks politely — he kicks the door in. The Berlin-based artist,
songwriter and performer works between pop, club culture and queer storytelling, fusing the untamed
energy of contemporary pop with the hardness of Berlin techno.
His debut album HÆIN built a world between euphoria and collapse, intimacy and escalation — Berlin
nights, queer community, hookups, longing, loss of control, the search for belonging. He released it with
a show at Kantine am Berghain that turned the record into a raw, electrifying live experience between
rave, performance and emotional excess.
He's now mid-rollout on his second album, Bambi in the Headlights of Berlin Nightlife, due early
2027 — built on a simple thesis: a prey animal learns how to bite. Where HÆIN treated the night as
refuge, the new record turns the headlights back on the room itself.
Live, that intensity goes straight to the stage. With his band, Hein builds a hybrid of concert and club
night: electronic productions meet live drums, electric guitar and bass. 2026 saw him play four Pride
main stages — Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hamburg and Nürnberg.
“HÆIN sounds like Kylie Minogue hooking up with Charli xcx and Troye Sivan in the Panorama
Bar.”
— Stefan Hochgesand, Berliner Zeitung
