Leander Machan

Leander Machan (22) is a NRW-based German singer-songwriter, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist whose music combines handcrafted pop-rock with influences from singer-songwriter, classic rock and contemporary country. Inspired by artists such as John Mayer, Toto, Charlie Puth, Keith Urban and Kameron Marlowe, he has developed an organic, guitar-driven sound that pairs expressive vocals with memorable melodies and authentic storytelling.

Born in 2004, Leander began his musical journey as a drummer at the age of six before expanding his skills through scholarship-supported studies in Pop/Rock/Jazz piano and music theory at Musikschule Haan. By the age of thirteen he was already writing original songs, performing in cover bands and gaining experience in orchestras, school ensembles and musical theatre productions. Alongside performing, he developed strong organizational and leadership skills by managing his own band, directing rehearsals and taking responsibility for booking, production and live organization.

Since launching his solo project, Leander has independently built every aspect of his career. As a fully independent artist, he oversees songwriting, production, booking, artist management, marketing and the creative direction of his releases. Since April 2025, Leander has been steadily shaping his artistic identity through a series of seven original single releases, each exploring a different facet of his signature sound while building towards his debut album. His music has received national radio airplay, while his independent approach continues to grow an international audience through regular releases and an active live schedule.

For live performances, Leander is joined by guitarist Milan Grafweg (27), with whom he has performed for more than eight years. Together they deliver dynamic performances built around acoustic guitars, vocal harmonies and genuine musicianship, equally at home in intimate listening venues, showcase festivals and larger festival stages.

Currently, Leander is working towards his debut album while continuing to expand his audience across Europe. His ambition is to establish himself as an internationally touring artist, bringing honest songwriting, memorable live performances and handcrafted pop-rock to audiences well beyond his home country and uniting people through his music.
