Yemanjo

A native of the culturally and musically rich Bay Area, Ben Harris became enamored of the music of Latin America and Africa at a young age. Now an internationally touring DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Yemanjo has amassed a prolific body of work on respected labels in the organic/global house genre including Cafe de Anatolia, Cosmic Awakenings and Wonderheel Recordings.
“La Misma Fuente” (Wonderwheel Recordings) is his first full length album in many years and with it Yemanjo joins the ranks of some of the finest producers in the global music scene including El Buho, Chancha Via Circuito and Thornato.

Translating as "The Same Source", the staggering variety of genre, sound design and featured artists on “La Misma Fuente” all relate to the concept that the world's diversity manifests out of an essential unity.

With guest singers and musicians from Mali, Colombia, Argentina, Hungary and beyond, the whole album pulsates with an irresistible combination of cracking electronic beats, hypnotic synths and bass, traditional acoustic instruments and vocals in many languages.

Thematically diverse, melodically complex and rhythmically compelling, "La Misma Fuente" is a testament to the relentless wanderlust of its author, and a fine addition to the already legendary catalogue of Wonderwheel Recordings.
