Künstlerbiografie
giverupper is the solo project of j.t. teichert. the music represents an attempt to “give up” the masks that we wear every day. giverupper blends formally trained saxophone sounds and informal, casual guitar textures.
"how can you feel nostalgic for a song you’ve never heard before? that’s how it feels when listening to ‘i like you’. the track is a fresh release."
- the limelight chicago
“The debut of alt/indie newcomer, giverupper impresses. J.T. Teichert has exhibited a talent for songwriting and composition. The appeal is catchy melodies, simple yet vibrant progressions, and a knack for being able to produce music with familiarity to what is currently relevant while introducing a unique element.”
