Solastalgia beschreibt die Trauer über den Verlust der natürlichen Umwelt – und allein die Existenz dieses Begriffs legt schonungslos unsere Entfremdung von diesem Planeten offen. Während sich einige Songs des Albums mit Umweltproblemen auseinandersetzen, richten andere den Fokus auf persönliche Gefühle und die Herausforderungen menschlicher Existenz in einer sich rasant verändernden Welt.
