BAEST is one of Europe’s most explosive metal acts. Formed in Aarhus in 2015, the Danish five-piece has evolved from death metal upstarts into a genre-bending force. Their discography includes Danse Macabre (2018), Venenum (2019), Necro Sapiens (2021), and Colossal (2025) — the latter a breakthrough release produced by Tue Madsen (The Haunted), praised internationally for its blend of classic heavy metal, rock swagger, and progressive twists. Metal Hammer Germany named Colossal “Album of the Month”, calling it “a colossal achievement”.
BAEST’s reputation is built on a ferocious live presence. They’ve played over 350 shows, sharing stages with Arch Enemy, Fit For An Autopsy, Krisiun, Abbath, Entombed AD, and more. Major festival appearances include Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Kaltenbach, and Copenhell.
Their international rise is backed by millions of streams and industry recognition — five GAFFA Awards and the “Artist of the Year” title at Den Hårde Tone 2024. With Colossal, they’ve broken from genre constraints, embracing what they call “Ozzy death metal”: catchy, riff-driven, and boundary-smashing.
