Captivated

Alternative rock that meets metalcore, posthardcore and emo –

Captivated is an up-and-coming crossover band from the Karlsruhe district, founded in 2018. The quintet walks the energetic paths of alternative, emo, pop-punk, and metalcore. Together, Julius on drums, Sebi and Sigge on guitars, Fabi on bass, and Lena on vocals deliver melodic hooks with singing and dark breakdowns with growls and screams. Their lyrics are inspired by reality, fiction, and poetry. Musically, Captivated moves between bright alternative rock elements towards emo/pop-punk and dark, heavy guitar riffs. The band is proof that opposites attract.

Several thousand streams on Spotify and wild mosh pits at live performances show how well Captivated is received by their audience.

Since 2021 the band conquer Germany's stages and actively engage in promoting visibility for the non-cis-male, queer scene, initiating and performing at the first "FLINTAlternative Metalcore Festival" in Karlsruhe in February 2024.

In 2023 Captivated partnered with the Karlsruhe label “Iwishicouldstay” under which they released their debut EP “Tragedy/Reality” on December 15, 2023 and the follow-up single “Sermonize” on July 12, 2024.

With a thrilling performance at DAS FEST 2024, the band is poised at the start of a promising journey.
