With an infectious wakefulness and calm, he dives deep into the worlds between ambient, krautrock and jazz with double bass and electronics, developing an intriguing pull into his sonic world. Whether solo or with various line-ups of his collective Malo Moray & Inflatable Knee, his concerts are a revelation of creativity and deceleration. Malo Moray plays curiously between all kinds of music and radiates his philosophy in an engaging way: Curious listening as an antidote to today's zeitgeist - Immensely moving concert experiences somewhere between Brian Eno, Faust, Sunn O))) and the Soundwalk Collective, in a completely unique sound language.
Malo Moray is a Leipzig-based double bass player, composer, performer, producer and booker. He works interdisciplinarily in the genres of ambient, kraut, psychedelic, jazz and sound design. With his oscillating band Malo Moray & His Inflatable Knee, he explores intimate immersion in the self as a response to our uprooted zeitgeist. He recently composed for theater productions in Munich (Grimme Prize winner Thomas Darchinger) and commissions in Leipzig. His current 2-LP ATOLLS, produced by Grammy award winner Marc Urselli (Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson...) has been praised as "the cosmic psychedelic album of the year!" (MINT Magazine).
